Well, the Patriots won again which really didn’t surprise anyone who follows the sport. Tom Brady is the Greatest (System) Quarterback of All-time with this his 6th win in his 9th time going, Brady’s got most all of the records in the Super Bowl for the sheer fact that he’s been to about 1/5 of them. The Patriots joined the Steelers as the teams with the most Championships with their sixth. The Patriots also hold the records for the most appearances and losses as well. The game, commercials and halftime show were all sort of letdowns. Bud light hammered Corn Syrup in their ads, Michael Buble cashed in on Bubly water and there weren’t that many movie ads that I really remember, sure Captain Marvel and Avengers: Endgame offered a bit more information about the films but that was it. Maroon 5 and company were horrible and it seems like Pepsi should be fired from sponsoring the halftime show. I guess the NFL gets this for that horrible call in New Orleans game two weeks ago when the Saints should have won the NFC Championship and perhaps them the Patriots might not have won again.

Super Bowl Prediction
It’s that time of year again. The Patriots are back in the Super Bowl for a record time and this time it’s a rematch of Super Bowl 36 when ‘The Greatest Show on Turf” lost by a field goal. It was the Super Bowl after September 11 and I’ve always thought that it ended with the Patriots winning with the Red/White/Blue color scheme was planned by the NFL. It was the Patriots first Super Bowl win and they gone on to win a couple more since. If we were going by post season experience it would be stupid to pick against New England as a majority of the team was in the Super Bowl last year where as the Rams have stunk as of late.
Prediction while it would be cool if it was like 20-17 mirroring the first game but I expect a high scoring game with the Patriots coming up a yard short at the end, and the Rams winning. Sure this would hurt all those in St. Louis yet again with the Rams having moved out so recently.
Eagles Win Super Bowl
The city of Philadelphia is rejoicing, at winning their fourth NFL Championship and first Super Bowl. However it seems like they have a quarterback controversy with Nick Foles leading the team to a victory in the Super Bowl what will happen when Carson Wentz comes back, or to put it simply what will happen with Foles will some other team try to pick him up as a starting Quarterback or will Foles be happy to sit and see how Wentz does when he comes back. The game was pretty great as it was a back and forth affair. Featuring two missed points after touchdowns, two missed 2-point conversions, another missed field goal along with two passes to the quarterback Brady missed his and Foles caught his for a touchdown. These are some of the crazy things that happened in the game. It was nice to see someone other than Tom Brady and the Patriots win but it seems like Brady will be back for another year. It is the first time that the Eagles have won something since 1960 and perhaps they could win back to back like they did in 1948-49. The best commercial of the night was the Eli Manning one with the Dirty Dancing routine. I for one hope to see more of these group dance routines next season since they only relaxed the celebration rule in like May of 2017 before the season began but before anything so crazy could be planned, here hoping for some like this next season.
Super Bowl LII Prediction
This weekend we’ve got the big game Super Bowl LII in Minnesota. This is the first game in Minnesota since 1992 and the second overall. It is in the new stadium. Super Bowl LII is a rematch of Super Bowl XXXIX which was won by the Patriots, as of recent games which were rematches the winner of the previous game has won again. The Patriots are playing in their tenth Super Bowl over all and eighth since the turn of the century (to many for most fans besides those in NE) if they win they will tie the Steelers for the most Super Bowl wins with six. For the Eagles this is their third time at the Super Bowl and they haven’t won yet, although they have won three NFL Championships the last was in 1960. History has stacked the odds against the Eagles this year but they have somehow gotten to the Super Bowl with a backup QB in Nick Foles yet they are facing Tom Brady and New England who have been here many times before. On to the prediction, while I am sure that New England will win somehow, it would be fun to see a new team win but many online are opining for a third option that it ends in a tie or that a meteorite comes and hits the stadium killing both teams involved.
Super Bowl LI recap
The Patriots’s revenge tour is over. They won the Super Bowl, now if they can only shut up about how great Tom Brady and Bill Belichick are. Sure they play a relatively easy schedule this year and Brady played 4 less games so he was well rested I sure hope that someone other than New England in the AFC gets to the Super Bowl next year as they’ve been in 9 Super Bowl games since 2000 and have won five. It almost looked like the Falcons were going to win but clearly the NFL wanted to make up to New England for the whole deflate-gate thing. Anyway you put it the Patriots have been labeled cheaters several times in the past and nothing can really change that to the general public, sure the folks in New England will adore them even more as most of them have forgotten or weren’t a fan during those year where they were a horrible team. It will be interesting to see what happens to them when Brady or Belichick retire and they have to find a new QB/head coach to take over.
The commercials were pretty weak this year, and Lady Gaga’s halftime show was fun. It was nice that it was only her as the previous years they’ve always had special guests showing up at some time during the performance.
Super Bowl LI
Yes, you read that right we are back to Roman Numerals for Super Bowl numbering. This year we have Tom Brady and the New England Patriots going into like their tenth (it’s only been seven) Super Bowl this century. This is the Patriots 9th Super Bowl and they have split their previous appearances last winning in 2014. Tom Brady is looking for Super Bowl ring number 5 and Super Bowl MVP number 4. On the other side of the field we have the Atlanta Falcons in their first Super
Bowl since XXXIII, when they lost to John Elway in his final game. I and most of America would love to see Atlanta win for their first time. Sure the odds are stacked against them, however the Patriots are only favored by 3 points. Atlanta has done a lot of scoring during the season and my only hope is that that game is competitive and not a blow out since that just make the game harder to watch. The game is on Sunday and Lady Gaga doing the Halftime show. It’s on FOX so we’ve got Joe Buck and Troy Aikman doing commentary.
Super Bowl L
Well this Super Bowl wasn’t the most exciting but the Broncos defense outlasted the Panther defense and won their first Super Bowl since 1998. Was this the final game in the storied career of Peyton Manning, we don’t know currently. If it was the final game it ends a wonderful career of Peyton Manning as he follows the footsteps of John Elway, and it looks like in seven years Peyton will be joining the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Although Cam Newton lost I doubt that this is the final Super Bowl in his Career. The game itself wasn’t that exciting with a combined six turnovers and two offensive touchdowns.
The Ads: There were only a couple of really funny ads that I remembered from Super Bowl Sunday. The best in my mind was the Doritos commercial with the pregnant lady getting an ultrasound.
Halftime show: I would say that two thirds of the halftime show worked, Beyonce and Bruno Mars Coldplay fell flat. Sure they were the headliners but Beyonce and Bruno Mars upstaged them. Perhaps next year there will be a good halftime show at the game in Houston where all sides of he shoe work well together.
Super Bowl L (pre-game)
This Sunday is the final football game until sometime in August. The Denver Broncos will face off against the Carolina Panthers. This is the second Super Bowl Panthers, who lost in their first go round in the early 2000s. This will be the Broncos eighth time playing in the big game, they have only won two of the time they made it. Their last Championship was way back in Super Bowl XXXIII 1998 in John Elway’s final game. For the game the Broncos have decided to wear white as they have had better luck in white at the Super Bowl having lost all four times they wore orange.
This should be a great game as this is the number one defense (Broncos) against the number two defense (Panthers). There is the added drama of Cam Newton has been perfect against Super Bowl winning Quarterbacks this season, and Peyton Manning has won back when he was with the Colts. Many have speculated that this might be the “last rodeo” for Peyton, and it would be cool if he could go out on top. That’s enough about the game itself.
Super Bowl Commercials this year it seems that several of them have been released on the internet or we have teasers for Super Bowl ads it just seems weird.
NFL Playoffs: Championship
Next Sunday is the NFC and AFC Championship games this year it’s pretty boring though as they are match ups between the top two teams in both conferences. Panthers and Cardinals in the NFC and Broncos and Patriots in the AFC. The game between the Broncos and Patriots will be the 17th and perhaps final match up in the historic Manning/Brady rivalry. However over the past six meetings the home team has won and Denver is the home team. Earlier this year Brock Osweiler was quarterback when the two teams met in Denver where the Broncos came out with a win and this looks like it will be the more exciting of the two games next Sunday. In the other game we have the Panthers who haven’t been to the Championship game in a decade against the Cardinals who haven’t made it either since 2008. They didn’t play each other this season so One of the things to like is that there is a good chance this will be a unique and original Super Bowl match up since combined both Carolina and Arizona have been to two Super Bowls. Early odds makers are pointing towards a rematch of Super Bowl XXXVIII, but I really hope that doesn’t happen. The AFC game is the first game next Sunday starting around 3 on the east coast and the NFC game begins around 7pm or so.
Super Bowl 49
We finally made it to the big game and all the talk about deflated balls is finally over, but will this talk be revived since the Patriots won the game, at least we know that this game there were no under inflated balls, just over inflated hype.
So Brady and Belichick are the “greatest coaching\QB combo” in NFL history this century. They won their fourth title together, however It doesn’t make those two loses look any better. During the game several times they were saying how Brady surpassed Montana for the most Touchdowns passes thrown in the Super Bowl, but Tom’s been to 6 Joe only went to 4, however this isn’t that hard to believe since the Patriots have been to almost half of the Super Bowls since 2001. Sure Brady and Belichick will be in Canton one day but I won’t call them the greatest QB and Coach combination in NFL history. However we all saw the game and clearly know that the Seahawks lost it for themselves by passing instead of running it in for a touchdown. Sure I am not a huge fan of the Patriots and strongly believe that their first Super Bowl win was a manufactured one in was the first Super Bowl after 9/11 and the Patriots beat The Greatest Show on Turf with a field goal as time expired, but they won yet again. Hopefully Tom and Bill will retire one of these years and The Patriots can return to mediocrity.
Food wise: I had some bratworsts that I made on Saturday, it was my first time making sausage and I need to try again as they needed more spice and were a bit over cooked, I also had some white chicken chili which was pretty good.
Commercials: Surprisingly I thought that there were only like three really great commercials. Snickers with Danny Trejo as Marsha in the Brady Bunch, one with the Fiat and Viagra and the Doritos one in the plane .
