It’s the fifth Mission Impossible movie and there is already a sequel in the works. Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) is working undercover to root out a supposed anti-IMF. It’s a fun movie and had me questioning what would happen next. It brought back all the classic characters Luther (Ving Rhames) and Benji (Simon Pegg) from the previous films as well as that guy from the last film. While I find the series entertaining it’s be around for 20 years now and is showing its age a bit we have Tom Cruise riding a motor cycle. running topless, and kicking/beating up people. The story however for me felt like a bit a “hand-waving” was being done to make thing a bit easier to explain like the whole ending part when Ethan saves the world yet again and the romance between Ethan and Ilsa. If this mission was the most impossible one yet, the next film must make it even more exciting and do something to shake up the storytelling.
