The National Basketball Association begins another season on Tuesday. There have been some big shake ups this off season in the NBA as free agents moved to a lot of new places. LeBron James in one of them as he headed back home to Cleveland to join the Cavs and hopefully finally bring home a Championship in Cleveland as they last won a championship in 1964. The other big news is the return of the Charlotte Hornets as the Bobcats have been renamed as the team that moved from Charlotte is now known as the New Orleans Pelicans. The Hornets retain all history of the team in Charlotte so that is pretty cool. This is also the first full season for new Commissioner Adam Silver.
So many pundits are already saying that the Cavaliers are one of the front runners to win the Eastern Conference. In the East along with the Cavaliers the Wizards, Heat, Bulls, Pacers and Nets are sure locks for the playoffs and perhaps the Celtics as well as they seem to have a regular presence in the playoffs. Over in the West once again it looks like it is the Spurs to lose. Joining the Spurs look for at least the Thunder and Clippers as definite picks and perhaps they will be joined by the likes of the Warriors, Rockets and Grizzlies. All these teams along with two other teams are likely to be making the playoffs
