I hate to say it but I am in that weird period where you are not sure what to read next. Sure I have a shelf of books to read but none of them are really jumping out at me right now. My shelf consists of the Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy (Inferno, Purgatario and Paradiso), a really long poem; Pearl S. Buck’s The Good Earth, a book about Life in China and specifically Chinese family life before WWI; Mark Twain’s Huckleberry Finn, the classic children’s novel; Theodore Dreiser’s Sister Carrie, which is about a girl moving to the big city in the 1900s; James Baldwin’s Go Tell It on the Mountain, a semi-autobigrapy which examines the role the church play in African American life; the only Fitzgerald book i haven’t read The Beautiful and the Damned, about a man and his wife; and re-reading/completing The Grapes of Wrath a book about Okies going to California during the Dust Bowl that I started over 10 years ago and haven’t finished yet.
You have seen some of the book that I’ve already read.(Godfather, Silence, The Silmarillion, Stranger in a Strange World, etc.) Any suggestions from the above list or perhaps you have something else in mind I am open to suggestions.
