So not much news has come out about the newest Star Wars movie or Rebels, the new animated series but here’s an update. Disney now also owns Indiana Jones and it seems like they want to get a new Indiana Jones movie in the works as well. Not sure if they will reboot the whole story like with James Bond or continue with Harrison Ford as Indy where perhaps his son (not Shia LaBeouf) or daughter becomes an archeologist/spy/adventurer and takes over as new Indy exploring and finding things in like the 1970s or 1980s. I mean Harrison Ford is not going to live forever and someone is going to take up the role after him. Since I doubt that Disney would let it just sit there.
Out in the Star Wars universe according to Disney’s CFO Jay Rasulo, Star Wars will be following the model they used with Marvel. The studio has said that it will release a new Star Wars film each year beginning in 2015, comprising a new trilogy and a couple of stand alone movies as well to be released in like 2016 and 2018. All of this will really begin in the fall of 2014 when Star Wars Rebels, the new animated series begins on Disney XD. Depending on the box office of the films Disney might even start up that live action Star Wars show that has been in the works for awhile. It would be cool if Tuesday nights television line up was S.H.I.E.L.D. followed by Star Wars. They could even revive the Indiana Jones TV series as well and that would be a remarkable night of television.
